Having bought more dolls than I can afford, I have taken to photographing dolls. I drag Tim Burton's Alice Voyage of Wonder out to the backyard vines surrounding the crabapple tree and set her up in front of the old clipper ship model I pinched from Dad's desk, on top of an undulating expanse of blue plastic tablecloth and take a photo of Alice waving farewell at the "dock". Or the above - the Tonner doll called "Reading to Alice" is - yes - reading to Alice. Very fun
and very pathetic.
